FAQs

Q: I have heard that some personal trainers are not very experienced or qualified. How do I know that your trainers are?

We pride ourselves in being amongst the highest qualified trainers in the business. Not only do all our trainers have a related degree, but are also professionally qualified. We strive to keep at the cutting edge of fitness research with continuous practical and theoretical education. All benefit personal trainers are registered with the National Register of Personal Trainers, are fully insured and qualified in first aid.

Q: I only have a small flat, how much room do I need to be able to have a really good training session?

As long as you have enough room to be able to lie down on the floor with your arms out wide, you will be able to have a good training session.

Q: I am a regular exerciser and am motivated enough to train on my own. However I don’t seem to be benefiting from my current workout. Is there anything you can do to get me to start improving again without me having to have sessions every week?

As well as offering regular personal training sessions Benefit Personal Training also offers a set programme package. This includes the free consultation, the comprehensive Body Analysis, programme design and two sessions to teach you your new programme. With this package you are not left completely on your own as your trainer is available to by phone to answer any questions that may arise as you train. We recommend that you have a programme review every 6-8 weeks and a repeat Body Analysis every 2-3 months. This is to help keep you motivated and ensure you continually improve your fitness level.

Q: How many times a week do I need to train?

There is no set answer to this question. Everyone has different needs and aims and as such will need differing number of sessions. The trainer and client will work together to decide the number of sessions during the FREE consultation.

Q: I know that exercise is good for me, but I do not enjoy it and I find it difficult to keep myself motivated. What can you do to keep me on the straight and narrow?

At Benefit Personal Training we try to make every session as fun and enjoyable as possible, but we do understand that for some exercise is a chore rather than a pleasure. Therefore, we offer phone counselling service. Your personal trainer will call you up during the week to see how you are getting on with your home programme, and if you have any difficulties they will try and work through them with you. This service also work the other way round, so if you are having a hard time motivating yourself you can just call up your personal trainer for help.

Q: What area of London do you cover?

Benefit Personal Training covers the whole of central London . This area includes Hampstead and Highgate in the North, to Chiswick, Docklands, down to the river Thames and everything in between!

Q: I would like to train with my partner to make the sessions more fun and to give us something to do together. Can you train two people in one session?

Not only do we offer one-to-one training but we also offer paired training and group sessions.

Q: I am recovering from knee surgery and would like to start exercising again. Are you trained to be able to work with people recovering from injury?

We are trained to help people recover from numerous injuries, including prolapsed disks, spinal stenosis, ACL surgery, and tendonitis. However, if we do not feel that we have the knowledge to provide you with the best possible care, we will refer you to one of our network of physiotherapists, osteopaths and physical therapists.

Q: I have just got accepted into the London Marathon. Do you design sessions that can get me ready to complete it?

At Benefit Personal Training we can design fitness programmes to suit any sport. Whether you are training for your first marathon, are a recreational tennis player who wants to get fitter to improve their game, or are want to get fitter for your yearly skiing trip we can design a programme to help you.
