Get to know your personal trainer…
- How did you get started in the business of personal training and well-being?
Fitness has always been an integral part of my life from a very young age. I was mainly interested in swimming and dancing as a child, and at the age of 16 decided to pursue my love of dance and went on to train as a dancer. Although I love dancing and absolutely loved my time on my dance degree, I did find my time within the dance sector increased my passion to learn more about the biomechanics of the body. I took a fitness instructing course and from then on have just spent the last 3 years perusing my passion for personal training.
- What is your favourite time of the day?
Breakfast time! I love my big breakfast omelette!
- What makes time fly for you?
When my diary is full. That's always makes my day go by really fast.
- How would you describe yourself?
Bubbly, energetic and hardworking.
- What is your favourite music?
I don't really have one type of favourite music, just something with a good beat when I'm training or going out, and something more relaxed when I'm at not doing either of those things.
- Where did you last go on holiday and where would you like to go next?
The last place I went on holiday was with my family and my Nana to Alicante in Spain. I have always dreamed of relaxing on a clear, white Hawaiian beach. I can just see myself gently rocking in a hammock with a cocktail in one hand watching the waves roll in. So maybe, just maybe this could be next…
- The one thing you would like to do if money was no option?
I would buy a holiday home in at least 15 different countries so that my friends and family could go away and relax whenever they needed to for free!
- What is your favourite sport to watch?
I would say dance, gymnastics, and rugby. Quite a strange mixture but I was born into a rugby family and I've always loved watching dance and gymnastics.
- What is your worst vice?
This definitely has to be Giant Chocolate buttons! Don't ask me why as they are exactly the same as a bar of Cadbury's chocolate which weirdly I don’t like eating. I am sure it is the shape of the button's that makes them so yummy!
- Who has been the biggest inspiration in your life?
That would definitely have to be my parents. They have constantly taught me that through positive mental thinking I can take my life in any direction I want – the sky's the limit when you have a real honest belief that you can do it.
- What is your favourite thing to do on a Friday night out?
I like to spend my Friday nights relaxing with my friends. I don't really mind what or where but it's usually not something that takes me into the early hours of the morning as I'm normally up early on Saturday's training my clients. Saturday night is then a little bit more of a party as I don't have to be up early!
